Overview Meetings LES European Societies update 13 January 2015

Seminar 23 February 2015, Brussels, Belgium

The Federal Public Service Economy and the Directorate-General for Economic Regulation, represented by the Belgian Office for Intellectual Property (OPRI), organize, in cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Benelux Office for Intellectual Property (BOIP) a half-day seminar, entitled “WIPO Services and Initiatives”. At this event, senior representatives from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) will lead an interactive programme of discussions that will be of interest to anyone involved in the international protection of IP rights. The half-day event will provide an introduction to WIPO services and initiatives, including the international systems for the protection of IP rights, alternative dispute resolution and infrastructure for the exchange of IP information.

Training Seminar “Mediation in Disputes on R&D and Related Commercial Agreements”, which will take place in Brussels, Belgium, on March 19-20, 2015.

This Seminar will consist of an intensive two-day training course in the techniques of mediation. The Seminar will be based on discussion groups and simulated mediation case studies in the field of intellectual property (IP), R&D, licensing and other technology transfer. Participants will be expected to take active part in the exercises.


The Seminar is organized by the WIPO Arbitration and Mediation Center and the European Liaison Office of the German Research Organisations (KOWI), and supported by the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM), the European Industrial Research Management Association (EIRMA), the Licensing Executives Society International (LESI), the Licensing Executives Society Benelux and The Horizon 2020 Model Consortium Agreement (DESCA) (in alphabetical order).
